Looks like Pontiac liked to show off the dark red ones. I can't say I disagree with that preference...

Yep, it did. I had an 87 for about 2 years. It finally died about 2 years ago. LOL.

It had the full function steering wheel. Still worked the day the fuel pump died too!

Car was definitely technologically advanced for its time.

that steering wheel was on the 1988'* as well. 1989 was the first model year to have the nicer steering wheel

I thing thats the type of steering wheel that if you had the SSE, you didnt have the 10 speaker system

No, it'* just that our steering wheels look like this. There was no SSE in '87 anyway.

lol i have a 1988 Pontiac Brochure, ALL 1988 models w/ steering wheel controls had that steering wheel. the newer 1989-91 steering wheel was NOT on 1988 models.
