I cannot ever remember seeing a BLACK 87-91 unless it was SSE. Was it offered in the LE trim?

and...sorta related...is it hard to paint a car yourself?

Black might have been uncommon in non-SSE cars, but I bought an SE for parts and it was black. As far as painting, the prep is the most work. Painting isnt very hard, but it can go really wrong if you dont know what you are doing. Your better off getting someone with experience to paint your car. I might get my dad to paint mine in the summer.

Agreed. Since it'* really hard to prep properly and have an adequate dust-free area (unless you're lucky enough to have free access to a booth, I know I sure as hell don't), a $199 Maaco job would be better than a dusted job.
