And one of the smooth idlers.

Total time, less then 10 minutes.

Now comes the hard one, the #9 smooth idler. It'* under the motor mount. So I'll have to remove that to get at the idler. And then modify the mount so the wider belt will fit. Changing the harmonic balancer will happen in spring when I pull the engine.

Finally got me some heat in the shop. Much nicer.

Got a little work done on a LIM,

Then a rearranged the tools in the tool box a bit, still finding a good home for everything.

I know, I got smoked out the other week. Darn kerosene is $4.19 a gal. Gezz, glad I don't fill my car with that.

Keep us informed on this project, I'm very interested!

I still think it'* weird you run your 6 rib right in the middle of the pulley.

It all depends on where your hub is on the shaft. Not in all the way and your running down one side, to far and your on the other side.

I didn't even think of that, it makes complete sense. That means it'* going to have to be precise when you switch to 8 rib, won't have that 2 rib buffer.

I believe I do have it centered. The ribbed idler is also down the middle, as are the smooth ones.

I would think that when you switch to 8 rib, it would extend it out 2 ribs, so a 6 rib that is centered should run on the 6 inside ribs.

Hey Dan make sure you crack a window or a door open for fresh air return. Those type heaters can put out high CO2 levels.

Thanks,

Todd
