Default 4L60E Rebuild Master Kit

I need to rebuild my 4L60E in my 2002 GMC Sierra SL 1500 ext cab 2WD with 205,000 miles. It'* making chattering/grinding/clunking noises at about 30-40 mph. Reverse seems to be okay.

What'* a good company to buy a rebuild master kit?

TruTech
TransGo
TCI
Transtar1

What about clutch packs, steel, and friction plates?

Raybestos High Energy, Stage 1, ZPAK, GPZ100, GPZ105
Alto Red Eagle
Borg Warner

What about manufacturing barands such as Sonnax?

It sounds like it'* coming from the front. I will however check it out though. Thanks for the tip.

I have taken great care of my 4.8L tune-ups, at 100k and 200k, as well as rack and pinion R&R at 200k. The transmission however has been neglected. I did a trans fluid, filter drain & fill about six months ago. They found two helical cut teeth in the pan. They may be from a planetary gear (unsure which until I disassemble it).

So now I am in the prelimenary stage of data collecting and preparing for a tranny rebuild.

I know on some of them the sun gear will strip out sometimes, or the reverse shell will go out too.

Thank you for the extra tips on the drive shaft and carrier bearing.

Does anyone have any comments regarding my original inquiries?

I would like some input/reviews on these brands and models.
