Default 40th Anniv. SE/SLE question

Ok, heres the deal:

I walked out of the grocery store and parked near my car was a Bonnie that had 40th anniv. tags, so naturally i went over and took a closer look. On the trunk was the small supercharged badge, and this gets me suspicious. Checked the VIN, and sure enough, it'* an L67.

So, were there ever any 40th SE/SLE'* that were boosted, or am I just the victim of false advertising?

Unfortunately I couldn't check that without getting into the trunk, and the owner was nowhere to be seen.

Will: If thats true, it would seem to me that that would make it a rather rare piece.

The SLE/SC are rarer than the SSEi for any given year. For a 40th, that would be rather uncommon at the least.

I hope he doesn't join. He'll steal my crown of the rarest car on the Forum.

What'* rare about an old green car...lol

On topic though.. that would be a nice car to have. I bet the owner has no idea how rare of a car they own.
