Nobody is slamming anyone. If we went along with the worth 3% more, we'd be perpetuating false information. Reality is that it'* a badge, RPO code, and floor mats. Nothing more. Are the cool? Hell yes, but we're not going to state it as something it isn't.

Todd, there are so many misconceptions around here. Do you have any idea how many members here bought a 40th and paid more than market because they were misled by the seller? I know of 3 or 4 from the top of my head.

Our members got burned. Had they been members before the purchase, they wouldn't have.

Our goal here is to provide accurate information. My posts, and those others here that have stated no additional value are accurate to a dotted "i". We're not going to sit here and give false information to our 40th owners. Are the 40th SSEi'* rare? I'd say uncommon is more accurate. Are they worth more? No. And I'm not going to mislead our 40th owners on the off chance that'* what they want to hear.

My own 95 is rarer than any 40th SSEi on this Forum in terms of production numbers, but it'* worth nothing more than typical market value.

Willwren,
I'm just like everyone else here, I think my car is the nicest! And I'm glad I did my homework and didn't overpay, thanks to the BC.

You're incorrect on that statement.

Worth of an object is determined by what somebody else is willing to pay. What somebody else is willing to pay creates the marketplace. If we each set our own values everything would be overinflated.

I said what I said because I know how much Lisa takes pride in her car and the other members who own a 40th

My point was: when a person is proud of their car, don't bring them down.

was not trying to start a debate here. remember guys I clearly marked my statement as "IMO"

if we get knocked down for giving our own opinions here, why are we here in the first place?

sure, correct me when I'm wrong. try not to jump on people so much for trying to stick up for someone.

You guys are great when it comes to accurate information on our cars but need to hold back a little when it comes to 'spanking' someone for speaking out of your terms and conditions on owning a Bonneville

Also yes I do agree with you on "
Worth of an object is determined by what somebody else is willing to pay."

however my whole point of car being worth in someones eyes was said in view of people not always buying car in the intent to resell it. sometimes people keep there cars because they have have long history with them and enjoy them a lot, there for they view there cars highly and not caring on what the market puts on there car as a value.
