My dad has an 84 El Camino SS, the stock engine it came with was a 305 which is basically an extended version of the 262 V6 like the one I had on my 87 Monte Carlo, Monte Carlo SS'* also came with 305'* with the exception of the 70'*. And actually an El Camino is not a very heavy car especially with your friends 350 which come stock with 170 HP which are very easily modded. We just have fast cars is all
