Default 2006 and beyond for the Bonneville/G8

Anyone have anything. I have seen some spy pics. But when will they show the G8 or Bonneville? Anyone know and what is it based off of?

I dont think it will happen to be honest, I think GM is gonna throw a lot of its weight into other lineups and their fullsized cars...Lucerne comes to mind.

If they do... you think the G8 will look like a variant of the Lurcerne or more like the 2000-2004/GXP styling?

I read 2007 maybe it will debut in this year'* NAIAS. RWD Zeta Platform developed by holden. A new gto is also due by 07. My guess is the G8 will be based off an opel/vauxhaul with some modest changes like the pontiac grille and lighting. Who knows maybee they'll put in the 3.6 bi-turbo for the GXP version

Thanks guys... The second info is what I wanted to here. Umm so it won't be shown in the winter 2005/2006 auto circut? I was hoping to see it at the Chicago Autoshow... I sometimes make that trip.

I heard zeta may be back on track. With the Chrysler 300C, they must in order to keep selling full size cars.

i think that the GP will be dropped and there will be one car to replace the Bonne and the GP.....and this might not be a bad thing because we might more mod support

gm4life, I probably woun't hold my breath. Usually when a new car is about to debut you at least see some concept sketches and some spy shots (I know there'* like 1 or 2 out there, but nothing that fills me with confidence.

Just think about when they released the C6, and all the hype that was generated before a model was even shown.

yea truth is there are too many models, g8 will replace gp and bonnie. The lucerne takes over the bonnie audience. There is talk of a smaller pontiac, (G4?) smaller than g6 (probably a sunfire type car).

They already have a Sunfire replacement, smaller than the G6, etc, in Canada. It'* called the Pursuit and equates to little more than a re-badged Cobalt (with no SS Supercharged option).
