Default 2002 Bonneville SSEi **UPDATE**

Im just writin to let everyone know the status on my SSEi....Ive been having massive problems with this thing! Apparently my cat has been backed up for quite sum time, and caused a boat load of problems...Since then I had my cat replaced, tranny rebuilt, and supercharger replaced! Drove the car for about 2 weeks...then the motor locked up! I talked to Ed from Morad Parts and we're just gonna do a swap and put in a 2004 GTP Series III in and a stage one cam! Niceee lol ok so the car is being towed to his shop tomorrow and I'll keep you updated!

S2 L67 has 240 hp while the S3 L32 has 260hp. The Series 3 L32 is the supercharged engine used in the newer GTPs. I don't remember the specifics on what'* different within the motors, besides the Gen V supercharger. But I've heard it'* a smooooth running engine. And it doesn't require premium fuel.

Not requiring Premium is probably due to the coding in the PCM (which I'm sure hurts performance greatly.) The Series 3 differs in more then the supercharger it has stronger and lighter connecting rods and has a drive by wire tb & a returnless fuel system to name a few of the differences.

Your plan with the L32 sounds much like mine. Keep us up on how the swap goes.

Well I took it to the local mechanic up the street...and all he had to tell me was that the motor was locked and would not turn over! And I talked to Ed and he gave me a few options and this seemed to be the fastest way to COMPLETELY solve the problem! Ssooooo the car gets towed today after work round 6ish! Cant wait!

I'll deffinatly keep you guys posted on how things go! The only part that kinda sucks in this whole deal is that Im a lil short on funds so I wont be getting the Gen V */C right away! He said my Gen 3 would do just fine till I had the cash to get the new one! Which would be a very short period of time

Sounds great...

Enjoy the new motor and you'll definately enjoy that Gen V once it comes along.

So the L32 you're swapping in does not have the SC included? Bummer! Enjoy the new engine and Gen V when you get it.
