I've done the same mod:

I did it back in 2004 when LED bulbs were starting to gain popularity. I found that they didn't light up bright enough when I pressed the brakes so I cut the dim wire from each center bulb so that the outside lights will be on all the time, and the middle one on each end would light up when I pressed the brakes.

Someone asked about that same car before, it seems a bit hazardous to me

Ya its Turkalo'* car. He joined just before me, won the COTM the month before me in '06. He has never been an active poster, and has been posting one or two times every 6 months or so. He is due for a return, LOL. His last post was in Feb., this year.

I think it looks great..especially on white!

Definitely a look I would rock if I didn't go the tinted route.

Ehh...just looked closer. I love the cleared out look, but the round circles that are visible when it is cleared kind of bother me and make me not like it as much.

I like the look of a totally clear taillight on your GP'*. The bonne it'* just too much, not to mention the horrid dimples and the fact it'* completley illegal and dangerous not having a rear facing red reflector
