Default 2 Different Colors of Red? (93-95)

From 1993-1995, were there two different shades of red? In the 1993s I've seen bright red, and in the 95'* I've seen a more toned down red. Is it just the lighting?

No, your eyes are right. Actually the bright red carried through 94. The medium garnet red you saw in 95 actually started in 92.

The medium garnet red from 87-91 looks a little lighter than the 92-95 to me, but it may be just a trick.
