Ok a friend of mine'* parents just got a 300m and he was wantin to race me b/c he has 250hp? I thought it would be a pretty good race..but obviously it hasn't occured yet due to the snow. What do you guys think i am up against..? Any obvious pros and cons, b/c the horsepower are within 10 of eachther, but i have a supercharger so i dunno. Let'* hear the comments..

Torque. You have him. There'* a link from Pontiacs website to the runoff between a few sedans. The 300M is one of them. The SSEi beat it in almost every category...handling, braking, performance, etc.

Horsepower means nothing in short street races like this. It'* all about the torque and at what RPM its used.

Easy Kill! Your 96 is nearly a second faster 0-60 than the 300M. I think the difference dimishes a little down the quarter mile because the 300M makes a little more power up top, but you've got him easy. Those 232- 253hp 3.5 Chryslers are only slightly faster than the 205hp Series II. You might want to put some money on it.

Thanks for that info bec I been wantin to run one too. I was a lil skeptical bec I thought the horsepower was part of the name. 300M. I want to race every car that I have considered getting. 300M, Q45, Maxima (already got spanked by one or 2), Seville and Eldorado.
