The GM.com site only lists the 2003'*, the gmCANADA.com site lists 2004'*, they show a pic of the GXP but no detail and no price and no release date. I emailed them for some info and they told me March before they're available. I spoke with a salesman this weekend he figured around $52k for the GXP in keeping with the price increase of all 2004'*

Thats how I bought my 2k, it came off a one year lease and I saved almost 50%. But im do for a new car and was leaning on the the GXP Bonneville. I have taken the 2004 GTP out for a test drive twice now and I love the tap shift and 2 doors.......they want $42k

I know that the First year cars are cool when they come out, but I would never buy the first year of em, any car. After all the Aurora reading I've done, don't get a 95.
There'* always glitches with 1st year production. My fathers work buddy got a CTS right a way, and now he'* kicking himself, 2nd year they change the dash and put in a bigger motor.

As cool as it is to have the new car that year, Don't think I'll ever have one, I'll wait till the bugs get worked out of it.

Generally that seems to be a good rule of thumb. I hear it often. Sometimes we get caught up in the hype of a new model, but, its always smarter to REALLY do your homework with a new model redesign or introduction OR wait until the next model year...

Workin out the bugs

Of course once they have it perfect, manufacturers HAVE to change it up....

I think that is why I was initially interested in a 99SSEi instead of a 2000 SSEi.

But a silver 01 SSEi with 17" chromies and with a nice audio install and a CAI might be nice...lol, Taylor know where I can find one??? hmmmm

:P

I think if you're gettinga Comp G GTP you're getting a whole lot. I can understand where it'* around $30k or more (USD) i mean with that power, a tapshifting tranny, and the handling that car has you're getting a nice performance sedan.

On a side note with your thing abuot CTS with bigger engines etc, i saw a CTS in a magazine with the Corvette Z06 LS6 engine..
