Ok, just had the evil Dex flushed out and good ol green put in a couple days ago. I am in NY where it is cold right now, and I took off the oil cap to find water mixed well with the oil in the cap and water poured out of it when I tipped it. Now, there appears to be no oil on the dipstick at all - nice and clean. Short of doing an analysis on the oil, should I be concerned? Is it just condensation that I wouldn't normally get in a warmer climate like NC? :?

There'* no oil on the dipstick? As in you have no oil in the oil pan? :? I know I'm misunderstanding something there. lol

It sounds like condensation, and only because when the oil cap is in the valve cover, it can't hold any liquid since it'* right side up. You say water "poured" out of it when you tipped it which sounds like there was a lot of water in there. But I can't see how that'* possible. But condensation can stick to the inside of the cap when it'* in the valve cover though.

I read, there'* water in a cap that has a normal position unable to hold water. And the oil on the dipstick is clean enough that you can hardly see it.

I wouldn't be worried, probably only a little condensation.

Sorry guys, I wasn't clear. I took off the extenstion and cap together as one piece so there was a lip that the water was trapped in.

There was also clean oil on the dipstick... no trace of water.

The car just went in yet again for warranty work - this time the stability system and rack, so I asked that they check it out to be sure. Thank you for your interest... I feel better about it!!
