Default '00+ SSEI || '00+ GTP

What is the difference in the engines/speeds?
The stock GTP runs high 14s in the 1/4 mile which is decently fast, and they look pretty mean with a ram air hood..
The SSEI is a bonneville... and I wants to stay true..
Both are about the same in price, and both look pretty sweet. They both have the supercharged 3.8, so why does the SSEI have a lower hp/torque rating than the GTP?

the new GTPs have the Series 3 with a newer SC. The coupe GP will be faster than the Bonnie due to the reduced weight, but the bonnie has more substance to the interior.

I think they have the same torque. Just the GP has 20 more hp.

The GTP and SSEi have the same powerplant and are rated teh same, except for the 04 GTP with the gen 5 SC. Those make 20 more HP. The bonneville is heavier though and this translates into a second slower than the GP in the 1/4. If you want speed get the GTP. If you want performance with luxury get the SSEi. The SSEi will never be as fast as a similarly modded GTP but remember most ppl dont mod their cars.

I suprise GTP'* on a regular basis.

I think the post was about the 00 GP and the 00 SSEi. Both cars have the same power plant rated at the same power/torq numbers. The SSEi is a bit heavier, but with a little work and reduction in wieght, I believe the Bonne can be moved close to GTP numbers. The GTP will always be faster with simulare moddifications, but it won't be as big a sleeper or nearly as comfortable. They were both desighned to take on different missions. They both do thier jobs well.

It was just a post of 2000-2003 basically. The new models I know are different. My goal car is 14'* stock, then mod it up to 13s. Or.. an S4... that would be delicious.
