Coming up back to school today I got a good scare.

I was passing a truck on the left side. I wasn't going fast, and it was just a common pass.

All of a sudden the truck pulls in half of my lane running me off the road and on to the rumble strips. I floor it and take off and speed away at about 90 to lose him.

WTF is up with truck drivers? Do they even pay attention? This isn't the first time a truck has made me swerve. I've pretty much lost all respect for those drivers, and I am always scared when I pass by them.

If you cant see the truck driver in his side mirror then he cant see you.

He had to see me. He probably just wasn't paying attention to the curves in the road.

That, or a gust of wind caught him wrong. They have a lot of real estate on the side that really catches the wind...

Could be. But they should be trained to be ready for that stuff. They are driving a loaded weapon. They have to be careful.

No matter what the situation its always risky passing a semi, do it as quickly as posable...
