1991 Bonneville SSE

This is a great-looking car. I originally chose it since it reminded me of the Aston Martin Lagonda. Had some problems when new and still under warranty, but now just keeps going and going. Some leaks fixed, new water pump and radiator, catalytic converter, rebuilt radio with cassette. Always keep it properly serviced, use top quality equipment like Michelin tires, Bosch sparkplugs, always waxed and garaged. May need new shocks now at 145K miles... but all original. Read more »

1991 SSE at Mefford Field, CA 2007. On my way from Fresno to Los Angeles, stopped to check out an old Phantom jet on display. I still hadn't reinstalled the fog lamps here. Car gets about 26 mpg on long trips.

1991 SSE near Boron, CA 2007. On my way from Las Vegas to San Francisco. I had replaced the marker lights in front as one got broken. Eventually some debris on the highway tore off the front license plate holder. Interior of the car after 18 years is still like new, except the headliner is falling...
