The stories of street racing will stop it from ever coming back. Sorry.

To be hionest I would like to see it back, it WAS an enjoyable forum.

Appointing a moderator for one forum really doesnt work in my opinion, esp when it comes to moving threads around from forum to forum. The only way it could possible work is.

BC becomes a paid members only site. I have seen some car club message boards that have Members Only sections. Which become accessible to club members that have paid to "benefit" from hidden sections of the forums. That way, Kill Stories would become a hidden forum, accessible to paid members and hidden from the general population.

And since Jeff has decided that this is a free site, the above option is not feasible. Its to bad we had a few bad apples, but it if is reintroduced, the barrell will go rotten again.

I agree with the other mods and admins on this one. I didn't have my gold stars at any point during the existence of Kill Stories, but I was still one of the people who suggested and supported that it be made defunct. It was a plague on the site. Not only does it create a liability, but it angers and frustrates even our best members.

Towards the end of kill stories, the bad attitudes and bitterness created by that section permeated the entire site, brought the mood down, and attracted the type of people who join a car site simply to brag about stories that were obviously not true. Since Bonneville Club has a strict no flames policy, this was a MAJOR problem.

I support keeping kill stories DOWN, and many of our active members agree.

Kill Stories will not return. The Staff is determined not to take on the burden of that forum from an Adminstrative standpoint, and also for the majority of members who grew to hate what it had become.

We'll just have to be content with PM'ing our kill stories to one another.

I was thinking about this very subject, and I dont know if its availabe in this version of php, but...and I have seen this before on some boards that operate vBulletin.

It goes something like this.

Once a member has a certain a amount of posts say 1000 (and established a rep on the forums) this once hidden forum becomes available to post in. But if this version of pHp cannot handle it, then it wont work..period.

Otherwise...save yer Kill Stories to PM'* and IM'*.

However BE WARNED, PMing can be taken away from ANY member if conduct gets out of hand.

oooh, i like it. Sorry if I opened up some old wounds, but I miss that part of the forum. I suppose if it caused you guys that much grief I can let it go and not bring it up again.
