I know a lot of people are like me and would rather at least try to sell their stuff on here, to someone who isnt a total stranger, instead of just unloading it on Ebay.

I think there should be a For Sale section for non-car related items, it would keep that kind of stuff out of the Lounge, where it usually gets lost in a hurry anyway.

Ive seen it on other forums with success, so why not here?

The Forum is getting kinda long in the tooth already guys. And I rarely see 'other' items enough to justify this. You have to remember this is an automotive forum dedicated to Bonnevilles. Not another eBay.

How about someone digs up how many 'other' for sale items we have a month? I'd bet it'* under 5, but I'd like to hear more debates and opinions on the subject.

My honest yet humble opinion - It makes more sense than the "Hey, look what I found on eBay" section. Maybe a couple of the sections could be combined? The eBay one does have it'* merits as a good place to let others know there'* stuff out there. So, maybe expand the Bonne Gear section to include non-car related items?

i try to refrian from selling things that arent bonnie related in the for sale section, if we had an "other" section, i would likely use it

I never saw the problem. For the 5 or so items a month..where'* the harm in leaving them in for sale? Bonne related or not....

occasionally one slips by us. but most get moved to the lounge.

the way I see it is we have a lot of lounge readers and if you post it in
the lounge and nobody replys, nobody wants it.


members have successfully sold items in the lounge.

I don't see why it would hurt to give it a try. If it gets little use or becomes abused then remove it.

I have seen a few items in lounge, not enough to bother that secton, so why change it.
