If it is a big pain or will cause a problem, I'll gladly keep my current username. Just wondering...
If it is possible and an Admin could contact me by e-mail, I'd greatly appreciate it. If I receive no response, then I will know the answer to my original question!

Sorry to bring this up again... but I didn't see any new policy yet.
Despite my earlier gladness to keep my current username, I really would like a new "surface" identity (more related to "me", rather than an anonymous nickname).
willwren, I appreciate & understood your e-mail... but didn't get a direct "yes" or "no" out of it. I'd like to keep my few posts on record if possible... but if not, could an Admin please advise so I know to re-register? Thanks!

Here'* the thread to the policy

If you decide it'* important enough to re-register, you'd just need to log out, and go through the registration again (I would assume).
An easier alternative may be a more descriptive Sig (Name car, whatever you want to have people remember). Just a thought
