I use Microsoft Streets and Trips for work sometimes on my laptop with my GPS unit. I just bought the 2005 version( bought it yesterday while out of town). As long as I got the city and states or provinces I can go one at a time and make dots for them. I can also save it while working on it so nothing is lost. If I had street addresses I can even go that way. I am just in the process of installing the software on my home PC since it is primarily used on my laptop.

Pretty fun software to kill time while driving. This version adds a compass and your actual driving speed on the screen it is pretty accurate too. It was off by 2km/h but I will check again in the spring with my regular tires on it.

I'd be very welcome to this whole map idea! Then everyone could see how few bonnies are here on the west coast :o

Map software is installed and running on my home PC. Just awaiting the verdict.

I am thinking here. If I can get the city and the state/province or even the address of people then I can, at a later point in time make copies of zoomed images to show bigger concentrations which may make it easier to plan meets, showing closest locations or whatever.

That sounds great, But I bet most are a little more conservative with their address than me....

OK well after playing with the idea a bit. I think that the street address will still work but for the colored dots it will be easier to highlight the whole city/town cause other wise you won't see anything. May have to write how many members per dot or something.

Sorry for the size to those on dial up but that was about as small I wanted to make it while still retaining SOME quality to it.

Red flag around Texas is Damemorder and the Blue flag up north in Ontario is me.

Tell me what you think. I have my actual street address in there along with the actual street address of Damemorder. ONLY if I zoom in enough will I see the address.

Yea I looked at using mapquest..... but I didn't think there was a way to remove the rivers or the "orange things" ie... highways and interstates....
