Board reorganization/shortening
Starting a new thread to cover this, and taking ideas from several posts:
Announcements: ........NOTICE (stays the same) General: ........Lounge (keep) ........General Chat (keep) ........Your ride (move photo albums up here and delete it from 'Gatherings') ........Kill stories (keep, it's too popular) ........Performance and General Brainstorming (combining the two) ........(move Audio and Electronics to Mechanical and Maintenance...at the bottom) ........Vendors forum (keep) ........Intros (keep) Mechanical and Maintenance: .......GXP/Northstar .......2000 and Newer .......92-99 .......87-91 .......Classics (I think we need to keep.....who knows what the future may hold) .......Other H bodies (I agree with Don. This is a keeper....this forum draws members) .......Forced Induction (keep for the specific issues of the L67/FI L27/L36) .......Audio/Electronics (moved from General) .......Detailing (new forum) Buy/Sell/Trade ......For sale or Trade (combine cars and parts) ......Wanted (need to keep this.....critical forum for those LOOKING, not selling) Gatherings: ......Combine photo albums with YOUR RIDE in GENERAL (it's gone) ......Combine All North America into two forums. Splitting at the Mississippi ......All other Continents ......Regional/National Meets (new forum) The Site: .......Suggestions .......Test By Combining this way, we shorten the board by 6 forums, and add 2 more, for a net gain of 4. The Detailing and Regional/National Meet forums are added, but the board is still 4 forums shorter, and better organized. Yes or no? We'll discuss this after member inputs in Staff, and make the final decision. Speak your mind! |

2 problems. There can be no official link between the Bonneville store and BC. For legal reasons. Read the disclaimer in Complinitor's signature.
The other problem is splitting Canada and the US. The link between the two is too strong, in fact, so strong that I believe the Missouri river would be a better division line than the Mississippi. I'd like to keep Ontario and MN linked geographically/socially. The division line I propose would be the Missouri river in the US, and the Manitoba/Ontario border in the North. |

I like. Although, I do kinda like the idea of Intro being up with announcements. I agree that it makes the site feel "Friendlier"
Oh, and lounge posts should count double... :lol: |

I think I prefer that photo albumbs be kept seperate from Your Ride. Not a lot happening during winter but once the meets start happening again it is to hard to find the pic locations unless they all become sticky. Thats probably the only change I would make to the above list.

Intros at the top is good for me, otherwise, the first suggestion looks good Bill.
