Default Why must you

Why must you remove the entire SC to replace the Coupler, It appears that you can remove the nose alone. :?:

It'* actually alot easier to remove the entire thing. Trust me.....and the other dozen or so of us who have done this.

Besides, it gives you the opportunity to thoroughly clean the TB (fantastic benefit), and the casing and rotors.

It'* worth it.

The last guy who attempted just the nosedrive wasted 2 hours, then ended up pulling the entire blower. Not a bad days work at all, under normal circumstances. Kindof fun, actually.

Depends on what year you have, on the series I it is less trouble to remove the */C than it is the Altenator, Power Steering Pump and their mounting brackets and lines. It isn't that hard to remove the */C. If you have a series I you can check out the Sticky at the top of the Forced Induction Forum or you can go to my web site(see below) and page 2 has the How To for changing the coupler.

If you have a Series II, I think you can remove just the snout...I haven't done a Series II so I can't tell you for sure. You'll have to check with one of the guys with the later models.

In the future, it would be nice if you put your Bonnies info in the signature line of your post. It makes it a lot confusing.

hope this helps
