Where did my supercharger whine go??
To the contrary a series 2 M90 sounds distinctly different than that.
Many have compared the M62 or Series 1 (model in the video making the most whine) to little girls screaming. I have said that the M90 or Series 2 sounds deeper...more mature if you like.
Last night I heard the first little zinger coming from a Gen V M90. That sound is also different. The supercharged ear would know which they were up against if they didn't lift the hood in each case.

Not only a tone difference, but a volume difference. And each case is further changed by:
Type of airbox or intake.
RPM'* of the engine.
Pulley size.
TYPE of LIM (for series 1'*).
Keep in mind the whine you hear is the straight-cut gears in the nosedrive.

Speaking of sound, my SC has gotten worse and it is loud now. The car won't go past 30mph. I got the part to fix it but iam afraid it had gotten very bad????????
Any thoughts??

Will, sweet ride and a very nice run. Personally I am not fond of the supercharger whine. I am happy with the little rumble I get from my .030 over L36. CAI helps with the sound coming out of the stock exhaust.
