Default what would you do IF YOU received THIS REMAN */C ?

Ok, I purchased a remanufactured Supercharger in the 400.00 USD price range.

Not off of Ebay, but rather from a VERY reputable supplier. ( I will not disclose here publicly, as I don;t think that would be fair at this point. )

Here are some of my concerns and I would appreciate knowing what your reactions / thoughts / actions would be if YOU opened up a box and saw this ?

NOTE:
Please pay attention to the overall cleanliness, bolt holes, and rotor scuffing

THERE is a sound AND feel of a RUB when I spin the pulley. It is SLIGHT, but IS there coincidentally right when the shiny scuff of the rotor becomes visible...

Thanks in advance guys...

This isn't a performance ENHANCING topic, so I'll move it to the proper section for you.

I can tell from your pics who the vendor is, and I can tell you to contact them with your concerns. At the same time though:

1. Scuffing of the rotor edges is not uncommon on the Gen2 M62'*.
2. Corrosion and pitting around the bolt holes will have no effect on it'* ability to work in your car, and you'll be hard-pressed to find one without that.
3. A rub can easily be a new nosedrive seal. They're tight when they're new. Make sure on that.

I suggest you determine (with a dollar bill) whether the rotor is actually contacting the case or not. If it is, contact the vendor.

i don't believe its the nosedrive seal, it seems to be the rotor for sure. I used a piece of paper, and it did get stuck while spinning, so the clearance is MINIMAL at best.

Contact the vendor with that EXACT information including a link to your pics and a link to this topic. He'* a member here, and has a great reputation for not only quality product, but also for taking care of his customers.

(you're not even curious as to how I can tell from the pics who it is?)

After a quick conversation with the vendor, I was told to return the unit with a note addressing any concerns. I was also told another supercharger would be shipped promptly.

Very good customer service from what I see so far.

They're the best. No, I didn't recognize the packaging, it was another telltale proof of vendor.

The clue for me was this:

Instantly recognizable feature for me. I've installed a good half a dozen myself since then.
