Supercharger noise

We changed my snout without pulling the SC itself off. We had to remove the alternator to get to a few of the bolts but that was it. We were testing the effect of ceramic supercharger bearings at the time. This is a series ii of course, series 1 may be dif.
You cannot pull the nosedrive or gear housing off a Series I without removing the SC from the car.

It is very likely the coupler. Follow Pdad'* suggestion, and get back to us. If it were a bearing, you'd hear it all the time. The coupler will typically only make noise at idle.
