Default Supercharger to lower intake gaskets

I'm seeing a trend in prices of the yellow coolant o-rings at the dealers and would like to suggest keeping options open.

Pricing of the gasket and o-rings at the dealer seems to be much more than a local autoparts store that carries the Fel Pro gasket.

Recently priced the Series 1 Fel Pro gasket (yellow o-rings are included) at $6.83

when I was at a GM place to pickup my lower lim gaskets I inquired about the upper lim gasket. he said he had it for $11. that is what I paid for the felpro'*. So I said I'll take it. he gives it to me and it doesn't have the 2 o'rings. He said yes, they are seperate, $4 a piece. I gave it back and said no thanks.

It depends on the pricing your dealer gives you.

I get the gasket and o-rings for under $10 at the dealer. And they're in stock. I don't have to order them like the Fel-Pro'*.

Wherever the price is better The purpose of my mentioning this topic was noting Fel Pro includes the o-rings and that a certain amount of shopping around may save half your cost of gaskets.

I can typically get mine same day or next day.
Being that I don't usually have to do an emergency repair on it..

$7 vs $15..

In many cases the local parts stores are closer than dealers.

When Advance looked it up for a "95 Bonneville" supercharged, it was called like a "lower plenum gasket"

Yup, I found this out also when I got the SC gasket when I traded my good 38k SC for the paperweight ported/pullied SC.
Turns out the local Auto Value keeps two Series II SC gaskets (Fel-Pro) in stock at all times. I have to stop in there tomorrow and get 1 Series II and have them order a Series III SC gasket as well. Doing the LIM gasket on cousins 98 Regal GS and the motor is going in my 99 next week.
