Okay, we have the supercharger replaced. Now, my air conditioner doesn't work. What could I have possibly done to the air conditioner while replacing the supercharger. We were no where near the air conditioner. If it'* not one thing it'* another. Give me a good OLD car that a person can work on without all of this cramp in the way. Any information will be helpful. 95 Bonneville SSEI

Its probably just a coincidence. That car is old enough that the A/C probably went out. They develop leaks over time and the refrigerant leaks out. If you find the leak and fix it and then recharge it I would bet it would work well. Unless there is something else wrong with it like the compressor went out or something.

But anyways, I doubt that it is related to the SC.

Carol, can you give us your symptoms? Do you have a flashing display on the ECC control? Does the compressor cylce on and off? Defrost mode work?

I had the same thing happen after having my wiring harness rebulit. Seems the connector to the compressor was not seated correctly. Take a look at that, maybe it just got pulled out some how during the work you did.

If the outside temp is below i think 16 degrees (if your water freezes at 0 and boils at 100) the air conditioning will not come on and will just take the cool outside air instead. If the compressor ran at these temps, it would freeze up and lines would probably burst from the expansion. Its a safety feature above anything.
