Could this be the problem i experience? When i rev the car up and it starts to click then u can hear something reving way up, even though the engine is only lightly being reved?
My mechanics teacher said its not a backfire, it sounds mechanical. (this is all done with the car is in park. When u rev it up in park the SC gage goes up, but not much at all.

No. The coupler will only be heard at idle.
Your PCM is dumping boost because you're not in gear. It'* not supposed to boost in P or N. Put it in gear, foot on the brake, then rev it.
Moving this to forced induction.

when you say its not supossed to boost in park or nuetral does this mean the gage needle should not move at all from -10 ? Cause mine goes up about 1/4 in park or nuetral when reved.
