Hello,
I have been searching around the forum on replacing my coupler. I found a couple of threads were they say to replace the bearings when your doing the coupler, now witch bearing would need to be replaced... I do plan on replacing my coupler and the snout seal, but do the bearings HAVE to be done and if so would they need to be pressed?
thank you in advanced
keith

im kinda new myself but from what I was told when I did mine is that yes they need to be pressed and the way to tell if they are bad is this: rotational play in the sc pulley is the coupler play left to right or in and out are the bearings ( this must be checked with the belt off) hope this helps you
Things get a little different when you start talking about M62 vs M90.
The M62 is more prone to bearing failure simply because it spins faster, creates more heat, and in our application is older.
