This may sound dumb but does it hurt to change it too often. I can get the GM oil for $5. (wholesale cost) at my dealer. I want to change it every 3K when I change my engine oil. The book says only to check it every 30K. When I had my Park Avenue (160Kmiles) I change it a few times in the 30K miles I drove it, other than it making a lot of noise I didn't have any problems with it. Thanks
*Edit* Could somebody move this to Forced Induction. Sorry I posted in the wrong section

Ok, sounds good. I just cant see only checking it at 30K being that the oil is so cheap. Since I just got the car, I want to change all the fluids so I know where I am with servicing it. Thanks
Nobody abuses superchargers like I do. That'* why I have a couple spares.
GM says every 100,000.
Most people here do it more often.
Once a year is probably the average.
When I change mine twice a year on the Zilla, it looks great every time. Good insurance though, with a 2" supercharger pulley.
Once a year is MORE than often enough to change it, but check it more often than that.
For the record, whe ZillaMotorsports drained Chadow427'* at over 100k, it look great too.
