BTW the oversized 3 1/2" OD idler to replace the original 3" OD idler is identical to the 3 1/2" OD idler just below it on the Series II engine....so you could buy one from the dealer.

Does anyone know for sure if it is a left hand or right hand thread?? I'm afraid of breaking the tensioner. :?

so the stock boost it 8-9psi with stock pully..what is it with the 2.2 and 2.0 pully on a 95/94?

With the 2.5 on my 95, it'* around 11psi... an yes you can feel the difference.

With a 2.2" or 2" on a 94/95 SSEi, you'll lose boost. Parasitic heat loss. You're spinning it way too fast, and compressing the air that much heats the air as well. Unless you figure out how to run an intercooler on a Series 1, don't go smaller than a 2.5".

To gain all you can from that 2.5", you should have a full custom intake setup, including CAI, and exhaust.

2.2" is in place as well as the oversized tensioner. Man, what a difference!! I need to make my airflow more laminar as well as CAI, and I'll be set!! I say go for it. You won't hurt that SC, so I wouldn't worry about that!!...

While we're on the subject.. I have a 180* stat, cai, exhaust, and a 2.2" pulley. Do I need to make any more modifications before stepping down to a 2.0" pulley? or would that be detrimental?

2.0" is too small for your car without alot more mods that aren't available.....most notably an intercooler.
