Default Noise SC??!!

Everytime I start my car cold the supercharger(I'm pretty sure its the supercharger) makes this noise, its almost like a grinding noise but I don't think its from metal to metal contact. After about a minute and a half it slowly quiets down. I want to know if that means anything or if it'* normal. I really hope its normal

Remove your supercharger belt and try it.

I hear something like that in mine as well, but I think it sounds like air being sucked in.

ok so something is def up and I just hope it is the supercharger because that is a little easier most motor problems. And I REALLY hope it just need oil.

ANd Danthurs, does it stop when the car warms up or is it constant?

Seems like it stops after about 10 or 15 seconds

We may not be talking about the same problem between these two cars. Can you take your SC belt off and try it?

While you have the belt off. Turn the SC pulley left to right quickly and report back on both how things were w/o the belt and turning the pulley.

ok, i just took the belt off and there was only about half a millimeter of play in the supercharger. Started it (it actually started and ran fine) but it still made the noise. Stopped the SC from freewheeling with the belt and 2 wild things happened: 1 the engine kept running, 2: the noise kept running too. I can just swear it is coming from the fenderwell where I put in the cold air intake, it also got a little louder after I put the intake in. So I'm stumped but it goes away after a minute or two so I guess it'* not too bad.
