The SC is bypassed at idle, but that'* not the job of the BCS, it'* the bypass valve actuator. When there is vacuum, the actuator opens the valve. As the throttle is opened, there is less pressure drop across it, so the vacuum level drops, so the bypass valve closes to some degree.

The BCS steps in and opens the bypass valve when:
Too much boost is detected
Knock is detected
When shifting
When in reverse

OK. So.. I should check that There'* no leaks at the hoses to the Boost Control Solenoid and the Bypass valve actuator. WOT only applies when in gear (under load) is that correct? No WOT under iddling conditions will show boost.

By the way, I had posted a question on controlling the fans because the temp over here exceeds 105 during the day. Well I found a real easy to install and reasonably priced variable speed fan control kit from Hayden ($34.99 US) from PepBoys. Installation is a cinch. Check it out at www.haydenauto.com.
I only wish that the fans ran at higher RPM'*.
