m90 gen 3 and 5
i was looking at pics of the gen 5 and it looks pretty much the same as the gen 3
(from what i can see from pics on the net...
however a cad drawing might (or deffantly) prove otherwise
or someone that knows alot about them (not me)
but what i was wondering is it possable to but the rotors from a gen5 into a gen3 housing??? has anyone tryed this??? or is it just completely a no go.
thanks

hmmm ok. well thats the diff between the gen3 and 5 that makes the gen 5 so much better??? i though it was the rotors..
reason i ask: i wanted to do a gen5 swap but its rather expensive. so i though i might be able to swap the rotors so get sorta the same performance that he gen5 makes out of a gen 3 houseing.. get what i mean...
also besides the runners (im just talking about the internals) whats the differance.
thanks

The rotors are most likely coated the same and shaped the same. The major differences will be found in the housing.
What are you asking about runners? (Runners would indicate lower intake)

basicaly i know the lower end of the m90 are diff. i was just wondering about the top end. like the rotors and other internals... not realy all the much in there but....
what is all that diff in the gen3 and gen5 houseings??
like is a gen5 pretty much like a P&P gen3?????????
idk thats why im asking and search realy didnt prove all that much.... so pretty much what im wondering is whats the diff between the 2 chargers???????????
thanks

Sorry... can you please complete a thought and post it.
Liek intake runner, lower end???? <~~ I don't get that.
There are no runners on a supercharger. Runners are part of a lower intake manifold.
What are the casing differences? You tell me, I haven't seen them side by side where I could compare besides on sites. Therefore unsure what the differences are.
Here is what I know. If the rotors were the only difference, then everyone would be swapping rotors only.

The primary difference is the inlet design. More efficient for flow.
There are supposedly some outlet differences. I'll have a Gen3 and Gen5 here shortly for a comparison.
Bill is correct. There are no runners in a SC. Not sure what you're talking about. I supposed you could call the LIM outlets runners in a sense, but they're awfully short!
