Default Loud, high pitched, scraping sound...

Okay, found the right forum. I have a 99 Grand Prix GTP, and I tried putting in more blower oil. That went fine, but I still have the snout making a very loud scraping, whirring, shhhhhhhhhhh!!!! sound. Then, when I get on the gas, it sounds like a rev limiter hits and the boost shoots to maximum on the center console digi-gauge. This is killing me. Any suggestions or comments?

? Did you find something wrong? It might take some time for the SC oil to make it into all the bearings in the nosedrive.

It has to be the cats. Sounds backed up, and the whoooshing soud has to be the pressure, and the reason the boost jumps up on the gauge so quickly.

Single cat, not dual.

What are your operating temps? Higher than normal? Power falls flat at high rpms?

When I had that problem it was my fuel pump. But that does not explain your other symptoms. This could be the cat, also.

Could be a number of things like mentioned above
When the Cat went in my first 93 SSEi it studderd BADLY when under load, could hardly get it up to 75mph at WOT. It was also stalling out alot. High flow cat made it sound a bit better and woke it up a bit.
