I can't begin to tell you how bad of an idea this is. Those L27 pistons will not last very long at all under boost. The Supercharged N/A Series 1 3800 engine had a different bottom end. You're asking for a great deal of trouble.

What he said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

oh shoot i just noticed this is for a 93 so i doubt they will also i thought you were putting a S2 into and S1 car idk im brain farting been up to long.

X...Dakota.. there's too many potential things to ask here. You guys could be completely wrong in what you said.

What year L67 parts are being put on?
S2 parts won't fit on an S1 and there have been people that put S1 parts on an S1 w/o issues. It's nearly the same motor. What if he's doing a complete drop in.

He's asking for brackets, at this point it sounds like he has most of the things figured out.

The power steering will depend on the year. S2 power steering bolts directly to the block. S1 has a nasty bracket, well it's nasty to me.

Alternator, again.. need to know S1 or S2.

I have no S1 parts. If you need S2 parts, between Bill and I, I think we can build about 10 motors.

Its a 1993 m62 supercharger, I know that I have to change th pistons I plan to if it will work... all the parts are s1.... the overview of th project is get it to run in the buick with the supercharger and then im going to take it out and rebuild it and then put it in my 1986 camaro

I think the biggest issue you will run in to is the tune. Software to make changes on the OBD1 system is hard to find. But I would be very interested in seeing your progress. Be sure to take a lot of pictures and post them up. We have a few S1 guys here that I'm sure can help.

BillBoost37 Mar 2, 2011 09:45 AM

GMtuners is the guy to talk to about the tune.
