I am also VERY interested in the outcome of this. I have the hypertech thermomaster, smaller pulley, and some other things in my 92 SSE SC.

Just a curiousity question here, but do you think disabling the boost dump is wise?

That'* gonna load up that engine alot.

Does anyone know if those engine come with stock forged pistons?

All of the supercharged L67 engines have forged crank/rods/pistons.

When they reburn the chip, don't let them get over 20lbs of boost. You will blow out your TB'* sensors and that can get pricey. They can't handle that much without being replaced with higher-end stuff. The blow off valve must operate in accordinance with the PCM. Even with the forged internals, you can kill your valves. Make sure you get higher rate valve springs installed. They can handle the extra flow. I will be running around 18-25 lbs this fall with the Procharger, but all the internals have been hardened up already.

ill keep everyone posted, racing again next sunday with the boost solenoid hose removed from the wastegate actuator and the hypertech chip removed. this should give me more boost and less knock signal from the hypertech timing curve too.
i will definitly post the results next weekend.
You had better be careful. When the engine is running at high revs and then you quickly close the throttle, all of the pressure that has been built will have to go somewhere. Usually the wastegate opens and dumps it back to the inlet. If this actuator is disabled, the supercharger may separate from the engine with a very loud POP. Although the loss of vehicle weight from your missing engine components and hood may help your 1/4 mi time, I think the lack of engine torque will really hurt your times.
But don't let that stop you from experimenting. I'm curious to know what will really happen. Let'* just see how tough these engines are.

Have you noticed if removing the hypertech made a positive difference or not yet?

Don't be surprised that you can't seem to get anyone to burn chips anymore, I'm not! I've tried various companies to no available. Hypertech has stopped, SuperChip won't do it either, even FastChip has stopped doing it for the Series I'*!

If you want that MSD DIS-4 Ignition Control though, I sell it.

MSD DIS-4 Ignition Control: $699.99 CAN ($481.36 USD)
*&H = $30.00 CAN; GST = $ 51.10 CAN *US/Canada Border Duty Fees EXTRA*

Take advantage of MSD performance with this Digital DIS Ignition Control. These capacitice discharge Ignitions feature multi-channel capability complimented with multiple sparks, rev limiters and a timing control. The DIS Ignitions are engineered with the latest in digital science including power MOSFET technology and efficient IGBT coil drivers. The features of the ignitions are managed by a 15 MHz microcontroller for extremely fast compensations and decisions. In the end this creates incredibly accurate spark delivery, rev limiters and timing functions.

The multi-channel design of the MSD DIS Ignitions saturate each coil pack with 470 volts and up to 115 millijoules of spark energy. This creates more efficient combustion in the cylinders to produce more power. Throttle response and mid range pull are also improved due to a series of powerful multiple sparks that last for 20 degrees of the crankshaft rotation.
