You wouldn't be the first to get a 'rebuilt' Floz unit with a bad coupler. ZZP cut him off on the replacement couplers some time ago (back in '02) and he was in the hurt locker for awhile. It seems he shipped a few with bad ones before he found another source.
A coupler SHOULD go 75-100k with the average driver on a stock pulley. The lifetime goes down proportionally with the weight of your foot and the diameter of your pulley drop.
For instance, my ZZP coupler is pushing 3 years old. It'* just starting to rattle now. That'* an early death, but you can guess which car it'* in.
With two L67'* in the house, I keep a spare handy.

Ok, first of all, too many posts to read at once. 2nd........holly cow man, that'* one fricken clean engine. Even after power washering mine twice it doesn't come close. 3rd. any thoughts what a rebuit */C would cost for the 95 SSEi, cause at this rate mine should be done by summer of 2007.

First of all, thanks for the link willwren, 2ndly.........crap....I'm going to half to wait till 2007 since that'* half of what I paid for the whole car. I should have gotten one at the crap yard, and tried rebuilding that one while I put mine on the road.

if you put a 2.2" pulley on that it might max out the kr pretty quick.
