I figure it'* mated to the 240 hp 3900, so a Series II L67 should treat it just fine (yeah yeah torque differences bla bla...)
The max my LN3 could produde probably is around 240 or less, so I don't think it'll be an issue.

Without straying too far off topic and please split if necessary..
F14.. the torque is a huge factor. And I doubt that I have yet to ride in a S2 that had an honest rating of 240hp. GM was known to underrate motor power by a good margin.
You'd want to beef up the trans before putting it in.

Yeah but...
Series II L67 has been mated to the 2.8L Getrag 5 speed in like Fieros and a Trofeo I know of and hasn't blown up. I know there'* plenty of Fieros. less weight to move in a Fiero versus a Reatta or Bonneville, but um, oh well
Then, from another post, figure in GM'* safety factor is making trannies to reasonably take double the power that the motor they're mated to produces...
