I know this is an old thread, but I'm new to the site. I've been driving either Buick or Pontiacs with the famous world-class 3800(originally Buick design) since 2002. Currently driving my 3rd Bonneville. Its an '01 SLE just turned 300,000 miles and runs pretty good(needs new plugs). I've replaced just about everything that goes wrong with cars as they get used, and some parts multiple times. It has the cancer around the gas door and the rear rocker panels. Anyway, currently trying to decide between two Bonneville replacements. 1) '01 SLE VERY CLEAN no winters, 87k miles, good price. Option 2) '02 SSEi, very clean, 107k miles, pretty good price. The huffer-*/C has always given me concern, especially for a DD. I really like the SSEi A LOT more!, color, equipment, etc. Some of the different posts you guys have put have relieved concerns...somewhat. Any extra feedback would be great. Thank You in advance.
One more thing. Outside of the norm, is there anything that I should look for that tells me to walk away from the SSEi. I drove it -kinda hard, took it to 95mph, drove great. Needed transmission mount and Valve Cover Gaskets, dealer replaced them. Everything works, except for seat heater elements(no big deal).

Welcome aboard RustySuor!

The newest post in this thread is over five years old. If a thread is over six months old you should start a new thread instead of reviving an old thread. If necessary, feel free to add a link to the old thread. For your purpose, I suggest posting in the Pontiac forum to get a good response.

I'll keep an eye out for you there.
