Default Does anyone know of a DIY on how to fill my supercharger?

I have a 99 GTP, late year manufacture, and the supercharger whines like crazy. Girlfriend has been drinving it for a long time, and has never changed the oil at the dealership. The snout has a bunch of residue around it from a small leak. I need to know if this is a fixable problem, or do I need to replace the charger? Any and all suggestions are appreciated... The main problem when driving is that the boost gauge sometimes jumps all the way up on the center console, and then it sounds like a rev limiter or something. This only happens when I try to accelerate. Any ideas guys???

99GTP? This doesn't belong in the 2000-2005 forum. In fact, being Supercharger issues, I'll move this to Forced Induction for you.

My first suggestion is to get some oil in it. If that doesn't help, you need a new (or rebuild yourself) nosedrive and probably a coupler as well.

I imagine it'* binding up due to lack of oil, and your belt is slipping sometimes.

sorry about the misplaced post, and thanks for the suggestion, I tried it today, and it only got louder, so it looks like I need to rebuild the snout. Thank you.

www.rollingperformance.com
or
www.texasthunderbirds.com

For your rebuild kit.

Or www.canadiansupercharger.com for your rebuilt nosedrive. Any of these sources including ZZP or INTENSE for your coupler.

Dealer for the oil. Or any of these sources.

jcb, don't waste your money on the ceramic kit. No long-term testing has been done, and it'* really not necessary. New bearings will last well over 100k, and you don't spin as fast as some of us do.

I'm your local water injection expert, as is Greyhare (supercharged Jetta, friend of mine and a member here).

Start a new topic for water injection to keep things on track. Or try a search for 'water injection' search for all terms, with willwren as the author. I've built 4 custom systems to date.

Relay ratio? What'* that?
