Check this Boost Control Mod from Club GP
What kind of octane booster do you use? How many "points" does it raise the octane? 1 "point" is the equivilant to 1/10 of 1 octane. So lets say it says it raises the octane 3 points, it raises 94 octane to 94.3 octane. So unless it says it raises it so many octane and not points it proably isn't doing much good anyways. At $4 a tank it can't hurt, but I would check it out, because if it only raises it a couple "points" then you are probably wasting your money, it would be cheaper to install some KR fighting mods. If it is making a noticable difference in the Firebird then keep running it in the Firebird, but if it doesn't make a noticable difference in the SSEi then it isn't helping it, because you can feel KR. If you always have KR then you won't feel it, but if you suddenly get KR, or the KR goes away, you will notice a difference. I know that if I were to "make" the SSEi get like 5-10KR and then run it at the track, and then I were to "make" it get 0KR, it would have the same exact mods and everything but the run with no KR is going to be AT LEAST 2 tenths slower. You can feel 2 tenths. Remember 10KR is ~20 horsepower, that is the same as the difference between a stock pulley and a 3.4 pulley.

For the SSEi I use Pennzoil Octane Booster. It doesn't even say how many "points". Just says: "contains the maximum concentration of MMT allowed - one of the most effective octane boosters available; Powerful Boosting Agents; One of the most thoroughly tested additive agents on the market; reduces knocking and pinging; maintain mileage; reduce emissions.
Maybe it'* just clever marketing. Could be why it'* so cheap at $4 a bottle. You get what you pay for.
In the Firebird I use Super 104 Racing Formula that says it increases octane by 4-7 points. It costs $14 a bottle. This stuff really works noticeably. I can feel and hear the difference.
Well that'* what I like about this forum. I learn something all the time......if you're right about the "points" to octane conversion. I always thought they were one and the same.
I wouldn't stop using the octane booster, unless I knew I had no KR, but I just thought I would throw that out there for something for you to think about. I could be wrong about the exact amount a point is, but if i recall correctly it is something like 1/10 or 1/8 of 1 octane. I will try to find where I read about it and then let you know. Like I said before, if you can feel the difference then don't stop using it, because it does help. My suggestion is to order a drum of 104 octane unleaded race gas and keep it at your house, and right before you fill up your gas tank, put in 1 or 2 gallons of the race gas at home and then fill up the tank with gas, or fill up the tank, and then put in the gas, and it will make at least as big of a difference as the octane booster, probably more, and it is a lot cheaper. ($3.50 a gallon U.*.) It only costs ~ $190 U.*. for a drum (55 gallons)

But I'll look into it.
Thanks for the info. If you find out about the point to octane ratio let me know.
I live in Michigan, but I am pretty sure they can deliver it pretty much anywhere. I know anywhere in the U.*. they will deliver it to your door, I don't know about Canada though. I am still trying to find the point the octane ratio, I will find it and let you know though.
I found the point to octane ratio and it is what I originally thought it was. 1 point is 1 tenth of an octane. It is unfortunate that the octane booster companies try to trick people by using the "point" system instead of using octane, but I guess that is how they make their money.
