Default BCS questions

If you disconnected the BCS'* wiring harness on a series 1 L67, what would happen?

Does it dump boost when not plugged in? Or would it stay closed, and let whatever boost run up? If i just ran power into it, and no signal, would it stay closed?

Follow up... are all firewall to PCM harnesses the same in bonnevilles regardless of trim? If i got the ZZP l67 conversion harness (does BCS and MAP) could i just plug it into the firewall and be BCSing with appropriate PCMs of course.

If you did this on a car with a SC PCM, it would set a code for BCS, and limit boost to 2 psi.

Sorry to go off topic, but maybe the answer to my question will help you understand.

My BCS limits boost to 2 lbs most times but full throttle, and even sometimes then. That'* why I have it disabled. Is there a problem there?
