I heard/read somewhere (although i can't seem to find it now) that we can adjust the "pop-off" limit on the super-chargers. How is this done and is it recommended? More boost, more power - but i don't want to blow my engine.

What your looking for is boost control solenoid bypass, It doesnt give you more boost but keeps you into boost at all times.
It is a bit tricky as there are times when you want the boost let off (releasing the pedal after wide open throttle). This trick is best suited for the drag strip.

Search for boost control bypass, someone had pics and instructions on how to do it.

Actually, the only thing it prevents is computer intervention by disabling the solenoid not the bypass. The bypass will still open when the vacuum rises, like when you release the pedal after WOT.

What he said. It disables the BCS, which dumps boost when the PCM thinks you have too much boost, too much fun (drivetrain abuse protection), and when it shifts.

I thought the Supercharger pressure can only reach about 7 psi. the idea in the article (i may have seen this on a GP site) was that we could raise that limit to 10 psi. is this making any sense?

And i am guessing that disabling the solenoid is a bad thing!?!?

Smaller pulley wheel will do this, too. I get about 13-16lbs. of boost with the BCS operating. Of course, you'll need to open up the intake and exhaust first.

Are you telling me that a smaller pulley will increase the boost and the PCM will not limit it? Isn't there some sort of bleed valve or PCM control limiting the boost to a preset maximum???

TWM, your MAP sensor is way out of kilter. The most you should get on a 93 with a 2.2" pulley and intake, is 11-12 psi on a cold day.

The bypass trick'* POSSIBLE benefit is wholly dependent on what your PCM sees as 'too much' boost. The S1 L67'* are at 10psi for that magic number. My Jet deletes this bypass safety for me without the need to bypass manually.
