Default +30-45 hp due to 30 dollar part.

Well Buickman104 and I made a discovery yesturday. I have been running with only 3.9 pounds of boost for nearly one year. First lets go back to the begining

- 3 months ago I installed a Boost gauge in the Riviera. It read Full vaccum but only 3 pounds of boost. I beliveved the boost gauge was faulty and needed to be replaced.

- 2 Months ago I visited BIll Boost for headers and rockers install. I explained the odd gauge reading and he said the car pulled like it had no boost issues. ( though he muttered something about his truck outrunning me)

- Last weekend I was looking at this picture Name: DSC08288.jpg

My car could not lay tracks like this and we are similary Modded. Mind you the BCA worked like it was supposed to but I had never checked the BCS. :? . Then I confirmed the Boost reading from the Gauge by Using my laptop scanning software that converted the MAP readinf (inHG) to PSI. And realized the Boost gauge was right. SO I bypassed the whole thing and well . The meter shot to 10 pounds of boost. And I left a Sixty foot streak down the street.

What is the point of my post. For those L67 powered cars that do not have a boost gauge from factory. This should be your FIRST Mod. I know Willwren has been preaching this for a while but I thought this would help others to understand the reasoning behind it.

I have replaced the BCS with the one from Buickmans Park avenue (Series 1 parts FTW!)

Ok you can point and laugh now....

Remember one thing even though this may not be the problem...

Tires, Tires pressure, and Road type makes a HUGE difference in traction and Burn out length

not that i can do them.. i found that out quick the 5 times so far i did it.

------------

Congrads on the newly found boost. Now however this boost issue did this come up after you removed the ford badge at nebf?

The BCA is different, although the BCS is the same. Same operation etc.

So when will you be posting your own burn out pictures? Or even better! Buy me a digital video camera so I can film you making a big burn out!
