Default Yet another problem

Ok, So i fix one problem to just get another. I go to turn on my car at 8:00pm and my automatic dash lights dont come on. I checked all fuses and such but the weird part is that the dash lights come on when i turn the dome lights on. Thus leaving me to set the switch half way so the dash lights come on and the dome lights dont. Is my sensor bad or is it wiring?

This could be a failing headlight switch, or a bad potentiometer, inside the headlight switch. Pull the switch out to check and see if there are burnt or melted parts. Check around the plug too.

It may be a bad switch, the 95'* were the main year known for burnt pins/connectors. 96-99 are usually good.

When your were getting the clicking sound, were the headlights going on and off? That is part of the sentenial (auto headlights at night). Turn the inside **** to the right (the inside and outside ***** do two different things), and that might fix your problem
