Default wtf.? its doing it again. 2nd 1 in 2 months.

i was driving my daughter to school today and the car (95 se) started acting funny again. it started feeling like it was about to stall while i was driving about 5 times but it never did. so on my way home from dropping her off it stalled and shut off while driving 2 times b4 i made it home.. and then when i started it back up it fired up right away but it started jolting foward again like as if i was pushing the gas with out me even touching the pedal..

now i had these 3 same exact symptoms when i first found out my computer was dieing the first time so i put another pcm and not a problem untill today. about 2 months later its doing it agin... now i have to drive the 88 untill i go and pull another pcm from the yard and switch them..

does anyone think its possible that my eprom is the cause of 2 computers going bad in to months... this really sucks... im just glad i have my 88 sse.. bonnie never let me down yet......

any ideas on why my pcm'c keep dieing....? thanks

The 94/95 pcms were the worst for durability and the best for driving us nuts. The Eprom should not be the cause.

I believe that Bill Buttermore went through 3 o4 4 of them before he got a good one on his '95.

This is the same thing that is happening to my car 88bonnsse. I will be driving on the freeway and its like someone is pressing on the peddle, the rpms go up about 500 more. And sometimes at a stoplight it stalls or feels like it might stall. Otherwise the engine runs great its only intermitent. Do you think my computer is BAD?

Some other symptoms are.....I don't have overdrive. And also when it revs like that the "door chime" will ding ding twice and sometimes the check engine light will just quickly flash. Also it seems to me it revs and than boggs down then it goes away and the car runs great. This is what I can't understand the engine is very strong otherwise. The block has 50,000 on it and the car has 174,000 miles.
