Those are the lights I thought you were talking about. Mine have dimmers (both cars). Apparently yours don't.

Default The problem is...

Well, the problem isn't the ability to Dim them, its just that they flicker when they are on. It looks like perhaps there is a short or something. But before I jump to that conclusion I wanted to see if anyone else experienced this.

The vanity lamps in my rig do not flicker. Looking at the schematic though for an 01 Bonneville reveals a dimmer (slider switch located adjacent to mirror) on driver & passenger vanity lamp. I don't have the capability to dim the vanity lamps. There must have been changes in the lamp circuits between 00 and 03. That'* all I can figure. Do your vanity lamps have these integrated dimmers? If so, you may have to follow the advice of wren & take a closer look at the variable resistors.

No dimmers on mine. Prolly is just the resistors, but not being an electrician I guess I'll just have to live with it for the time being.
