I already know my resistance too, so when I get some time, I'm just gonna go to radio shack, buy the stuff and keep it in the car LOL

Right..In your case it'* silly to put in a remote starter. You most likely have a contact in the switch starting to get flaky.

Do places installing remote starters have exact value replacement resistors that are easily inside the error range the VATS allows? Will they give or sell you the one you need?

I thought about going to one and buying the right one. Are theirs in the same tube with pigtail of other resistors or are they made to slip into the connector with the right contacts on them already?

Yes..they do..it'* called a Vats resistor pack by most of them. Randman used to install at one time and had a few...we opened up one of the packs for the value Frankenbonne needed. The other 15? values were left over.

I'm thinking, since I maybe in an apt soon, that I'm gonna wanna install a car alarm anyways, and at that rate, if I'm gonna get the alarm, it'* not much if any of a price difference to get remote start too, so I may just go that route.
